The Governing Council, Management and Staff of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) are deeply saddened by the passing of Hon. Justice Emmanuel Olayinka Ayoola (JSC, rtd), a retired Justice of the Supreme Court and former Chairman of the Commission.

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has lauded Nigerian journalists for their critical role in advocating for the realization and enjoyment of democracy in Nigeria and elsewhere, saying that they deserve the support of all stakeholders as they continue to discharge their Constitutional responsibilities.

As Nigeria joins the rest of the West African Sub Region to commemorate the 2022 Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Human Rights Day, Executive Secretary National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Tony Ojukwu SAN, has called on government and relevant stakeholders to do more in providing healthcare services for children in order to ensure adequate enjoyment of their rights to health.
